This feature can be activated by pressing a button between speeds of 20 to 80 kmph. Normal, hyper and sports modes are available for this. Ola Electric Sales have increased rapidly during the festive season. The company sold around 24,000 electric scooters in October. This is an increase of almost two and a half times in sales as compared to the same month last year. Ola Electric expects the sales momentum to continue in November also. It has said that it has sold more than two lakh electric scooters in the first 10 months of this year and is the only EV company in the country to achieve this figure. In the first 10 months of this year, Ola Electric has grown by more than 100 percent.
Ola Electric has prepared to launch an Initial Public Offer (IPO) soon. It plans to raise up to $700 million from stock market listing. Big investors like Singapore’s Temasek and Japan’s SoftBank have stake in the company. Recently it had secured new funding. For this, the value of the company was estimated at 5.4 billion dollars. Ola Electric also plans to enter the electric motorcycle and electric car segments.
