NSUI protest in Bhopal against MP Nursing scam case ANN

MP Nursing Scam Case: Students from across the state protested in Bhopal today against the Madhya Pradesh nursing scam. The protesting students alleged that the result of the examination conducted in July 2023 has not come yet. Despite three years of the first year, the examination has not been conducted yet. NSUI leader Ravi Parmar said that the Pre Nursing Selection Test PNST examination was conducted in July 2023. The result is declared in 1 to 2 months after the examination, but the result has not come yet.

Ravi Parmar, who is leading the NSUI medical wing, said that 66 thousand students had given the exam through PEB. Crores of rupees were collected as examination fees. Even after a year, the result has not been released. He alleged that admissions are being done in private nursing colleges indiscriminately. The government’s intention is to make private nursing colleges profitable. Therefore, the result of the entrance examination of government nursing colleges has not been declared yet. Not a single admission has taken place in the government nursing colleges of Madhya Pradesh since 2022.

The scam started in 2020-21

Let us tell you that the nursing college scam in Madhya Pradesh started from the session of 2020-21. In the session of 2019-20, there were only 448 nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh, but in the session of 2020-21, permission was given to open 219 nursing colleges simultaneously. In this way, the number of nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh increased from 448 to 667. However, the actual situation is that the fake nursing colleges did not have a building, some colleges were operating in two rented rooms. Some colleges were running in shops.

The special thing is that to benefit the fake colleges, even the government colleges were declared unfit. After the scam was exposed, the High Court handed over the investigation to the CBI. Now CBI officers have become involved in the scam. They gave the green signal to ineligible nursing colleges by taking bribes of Rs 2 lakh to 10 lakh. After the case was exposed, 13 people including the CBI officer have been arrested.
