Noida News: The construction work of Jewar Airport being built in Uttar Pradesh is going on at a fast pace. Officials from the Uttar Pradesh administration are also seen continuously inspecting it. On Friday (October 13), Additional Chief Secretary Civil Aviation, Uttar Pradesh Government SP Goyal also arrived to inspect the airport construction work being done in Jewar.
During the inspection he was accompanied by Yamuna Expressway Authority and Noida International Airport Ltd.’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Arun Veer Singh, YIAPL CEO Christoph Shellman, Nicholas, Kiran Jain COO, Manish Verma, District Magistrate Gautam and other officials were present. The Additional Chief Secretary first saw the construction work of the ATC tower. ATC tower is being built with eight floors. Out of which the work of 6 floors has been completed and the work of the last 2 towers is going on. The height of the ATC tower is 30 meters and the construction will be completed by February 2024.
7200 workers are working
All the officers reached the eighth floor of the ATC tower via stairs and also went to see the construction work. The construction work of the runway at the airport is almost 70 percent complete. The airstrip work is targeted to be completed by February-March 2024. SP Goyal also inspected the construction work of the terminal building being constructed at the airport, this work is also being done at a fast pace. Nicholas Shellman, CEO YIAPL informed that currently about 7,200 workers are working day and night in the construction work of Jewar Airport.
’15 million safe house of airport construction also complete’
The Additional Chief Secretary also took stock of the construction work of the interchange being built by NHAI in Dayanatpur to connect the airport. NHAI officials said that the work on the road being built to connect the airport to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is also under construction. It will be completed on time. The Additional Chief Secretary gave instructions to speed up the construction work and complete all the work within the stipulated period as per the concession agreement of the project. On Friday, 15 million safe houses have also been completed for the construction of the airport. This means that the airport work is going on smoothly day and night without any major accident.
