Nitish Kumar factor spoils performance of Indian Alliance in Elections 2024, big revelation of Dipankar Bhattacharya

Dipankar Bhattacharya attacks Nitish Kumar: The results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have come and the NDA government has also been formed. However, after the results, statements of opposition leaders are now coming to the fore. Dipankar Bhattacharya, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist Leninist), said that the opposition alliance ‘India’ did not perform well in Bihar in the Lok Sabha elections because it made some mistakes, including ticket distribution.

In an interview to PTI-Bhasha, Bhattacharya did not deny that the “Nitish Kumar factor” was also a reason behind not getting the expected results in the elections. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal (United) was part of the ‘mahagathbandhan’ with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and the Left parties in the state.

Dipankar Bhattacharya said that JDU was also a part of the opposition alliance ‘India’ but JDU is not a part of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections Just before the elections, it joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP and the NDA parties JDU, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) won 30 out of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in the state, while ‘India’ won only nine seats. At the same time, an independent candidate Pappu Yadav won one seat.

What is the reason behind Pappu Yadav’s victory in Purnia,

CPI (ML) leader Bhattacharya said that independent candidate Pappu Yadav won in Purnia because RJD refused to give the seat to Congress. He said that CPI (ML) had demanded Siwan seat but RJD contested from there and came third and this seat was won by JDU. CPI (ML) has won two seats, Ara and Karakat. He said, “Some mistakes probably had a widespread impact. It affected many seats. Take the example of Purnia, Pappu Yadav managed to win this seat but it is unimaginable that in such a polarized election, the official candidate of RJD got less than 30,000 votes. “
