Nikunj Srivastava named senior adviser to ED of World Bank

Nikunj Kumar Srivastava has been appointed as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director of the World Bank. Nikunj is a 1998 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh.

On Wednesday, the Personnel Ministry informed that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Nikunj Srivastava as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director of the World Bank based in Washington DC for three years. Srivastava has been appointed in place of Gujarat cadre IAS officer Rajiv Topno.

The order issued by the ministry said that Ashutosh Jindal, a 1995 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre, has been appointed Minister (Economic) in the Indian Embassy in Washington DC in place of Ravi Kota.

Arvind Modak appointed advisor to World Bank Executive Director

Meanwhile, Hrishikesh Arvind Modak, a 2008 batch IAS officer of Manipur cadre, has been appointed as an advisor to the Executive Director of the World Bank. Arvind Modak will replace Rajendra Kumar, a 2004-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre. Modak was till now working as a director in the Prime Minister’s Office.

Anshika Arora, a 2010 batch IES officer, will serve as a counsellor in India’s Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva. The order said Arora has been appointed to this post for three years.

While 2010 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre Ashutosh Salil has been appointed as Counsellor (Industry and Engineering) in the Indian Embassy in Brussels for three years. 2007 batch IES officer Prashant Chandran will be the Director of Bay of Bengal.
