Jagdish Devda On New Criminal Law: Changes have been made in the British law applicable in the country. Sections have changed from today. Now section 103 will be applied for murder instead of 302, while section 64 will be applied for rape instead of 376. After the change in sections, it will not be easy to compromise by threatening the witnesses, there will be video recording at every step in police investigation. Talking to ABP on the change in sections, Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Jagdish Devda has said that the change in sections is welcome.

Similarly, ADG Jaideep Prasad also said in a discussion with ABP that the changes made in the law will provide relief to the common people.

This change in the currents
Earlier, section 302 was imposed in case of murder, but now it will be 103. Similarly, section 304B for dowry death is now 80, 379 for theft is now 303, 376 for rape is now 64, 398A for husband’s cruelty is now 85, 120B for criminal conspiracy is now section 61.

IPC will now be called BNS
The Indian Penal Code (IPC) will now be called (BNS). There were 511 sections in the IPC, but the Indian Judicial Code will have 358 sections. The order of the sections has been changed. Similarly, the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure) will now be called the Indian Narik Suraksha Code (BNSS). There were 384 sections in the CrPC, the new law will now have 531 sections.
