Method of making compost
To make compost, paddy straw has to be soaked and after a day DAP, urea, potash, wheat bran, gypsum and carbofudoran are mixed in it and it is left to rot. Compost is ready after about one and a half months. Now, by mixing cow dung and soil equally, a layer of about one and a half inches thick is spread on it, and a two-three inch thick layer of compost is applied on it. To maintain moisture in it, the mushroom is sprayed with spray two to three times a day. A layer of one or two inches of compost is added on top of this. And this is how mushroom production begins.
