NASA Shares Pic Of World’s Most Remote Inhabited Island Tristan da Cunha

NASA has shared a photo of the world’s most remote island. This island is called Tristan da Cunha. This is an island where the least number of people live. Its photo has been captured by the Landsat 9 satellite. The satellite was launched from California, USA in 2021. It is an Earth observation satellite. That is, the job of this satellite is to keep observing the Earth.

The islands are seen in dark color. The shape of Tristan da Cunha Island is circular. Its peak looks white. The area below it is seen in light green color and going down it becomes dark green. They are surrounded by deep blue sea.

NASA said that this island is in the area between South America and Africa. The least inhabited area is seen on this island. There are more birds than humans living here. This island is in the South Atlantic Ocean. There is dense sea grass all around them. Sea grass named Macrocystis pyrifera is found here which is the fastest growing seaweed on this planet.

NASA According to NASA, these photos of Tristan da Cunha Island were taken in May last year. They were actually used for surveying forests.
