Nasa Challenge: The American space agency NASA has planned many such missions in which astronauts are prepared to stay on the Moon and other celestial bodies like Mars for a long time. NASA is looking for a solution to recycle the waste that will be generated during this period. Now he has announced a competition. Its name is- Lunarcycle Challenge (LunaRecycle Challenge), the winner of which will be given a prize of 3 million dollars (about Rs 25 crore).

According to reports, in the future, when astronauts will stay on the Moon or other places for a long time, many types of waste will be generated there such as food packaging waste, waste clothes of astronauts, materials related to science experiments etc. NASA wants to develop such technology to deal with such waste, which does not consume much electricity and is easy to use.

Keeping this in mind, NASA has started a new competition. It focuses on two things. First- preparing prototype of hardware and other components. Second- To prepare a virtual replica of the entire recycling system. NASA hopes that by providing two methods, researchers from all over the world will become a part of this competition.

There are three major areas of this entire challenge. Tracking logistics, managing astronauts’ clothes and other waste. NASA wants a large number of participants in its competition.

Talking about NASA’s future missions, the American space agency has planned Artemis mission. Its purpose is to once again take astronauts to the Moon and keep them there for a long time. China and Russia are also planning to send their mission to the Moon together. Many more countries of the world may launch their Moon missions in the coming years.
