Nakul Nath loses on Chhindwara Vidhan Sabha seat, Digvijaya Singh gets more votes than Jaivardhan Singh Raghogarh seat

Chhindwara Lok Sabha Election 2024: Congress has performed very poorly in the Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha elections. Voters showed a lot of indifference towards the Congress candidates in the elections. This can be gauged by seeing that the voters of the seat from which former Chief Minister Kamal Nath is an MLA also contributed in defeating his son Nakul Nath.

Let us tell you that Congress has tasted its biggest defeat so far in Madhya Pradesh. For the first time, Congress has lost all 29 seats in the state. Many big MLAs including Kamal Nath could not give lead to Congress candidate on their seat. The only exception is Raghogarh, from where MLA Jaivardhan Singh gave lead to his father Digvijay Singh from his seat.

Nakul Nath could not win even in Chhindwara assembly
Let’s look at the seats of the big Congress MLAs in numbers Lok Sabha Elections How was the performance of the party candidates during the elections? Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath could not make his son Nakul Nath win the Chhindwara assembly seat. Here Nakul Nath got 96890 votes, while Vivek Bunty Sahu of BJP took 100978 votes.

Vikrant Bhuria, son of veteran tribal leader Kantilal Bhuria, is an MLA from Jhabua. Kantilal Bhuria lost the Jhabua assembly seat by 9 thousand votes. BJP’s Anita Nagar Singh Chauhan got 105543 votes in Jhabua. Similarly, the only woman candidate of Congress in Rewa Lok Sabha, Neelam Mishra, was trailing by 8 thousand votes from her MLA husband Abhay Mishra’s Simaria assembly seat.

Best performance on Digvijay Singh’s son’s seat
As an MLA, former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s son Jaivardhan Singh performed the best. Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh, however, lost the Lok Sabha election from Rajgarh seat. But, he was ahead by 11 thousand votes from his son Jaivardhan Singh’s Raghogarh assembly seat. BJP’s Rodmal Nagar, who became MP from here for the third time, got 81887 votes from Raghogarh.
