Mumbai Rain Alert: Heavy rain is falling in many areas of Mumbai at this time. In such a situation, Mumbai Police has appealed to the common people not to go to the coastal areas. Along with this, it has also been appealed not to leave the house unless it is very necessary. Actually, waterlogging has occurred in Mumbai due to rain, which has also affected the traffic.
Mumbai Police appealed on ‘X’ and wrote, “In view of the heavy rains in Mumbai, citizens are requested not to go to coastal areas and leave the house only when necessary. Please take precautions and dial 100 in case of emergency.”
That’s why it is advised to stay away from coastal areas
Due to good weather, tourists are also reaching Mumbai and they are reaching different tourist points here. One of these are coastal areas like Nariman Point and Marine Drive where tourists gather in large numbers but going to coastal areas during adverse weather is not free from danger. Therefore, the local administration and police advise people to stay away from such areas.
In view of the continuous and heavy rains in Mumbai, citizens are requested to avoid going to the coastal areas and move out of their house only if necessary.

Mumbai received 326 mm of rain in three days
On the other hand, in Mumbai, a subway in Andheri area was flooded on Saturday which had to be closed, while a part of a residential house collapsed in another area in which an elderly woman died. Along with this, water also accumulated on the Western Expressway. The low-lying areas of Vile Parle were also submerged. This condition of rain is expected to continue further. In such a situation, people are being asked to take precautions. 326 mm of rain was recorded in Mumbai in the last three days. On July 20, 111 mm of rain was recorded at IMD’s Colaba Observatory and 93 mm of rain was recorded at Satacruz Observatory.
