Raisen News Today: On Saturday (20 July) afternoon, Raisen in Madhya Pradesh received heavy rains for the first time this season. This has made the weather pleasant here, but on the other hand, the roads of the city got flooded and at places, the water level was up to 3 feet.

After heavy rains, the lower settlements of the city were also flooded. During this, three people working in the field planting paddy died due to lightning while one person was seriously injured, who has been admitted to Sanchi Hospital.

Houses filled with water due to heavy rain
Due to waterlogging in the main market of the city, the administration barricaded the traffic and stopped it. Due to which there was a queue of vehicles on both sides of the road. Many houses in Ward-9, Talab Mohalla, Housing Board Colony, Arjun Nagar and Patel Nagar of the city were flooded.

Lightning struck two people who were planting paddy
Amidst heavy rains, Salman and Shivani, who were planting paddy in the field in Bangawan, Raisen, were struck by lightning. Due to which they died on the spot. The family took both of them to the district hospital, where the doctors declared them dead. A person named Rajesh, who was planting paddy with them, was seriously injured, who has been referred to Bhopal for better treatment.

Along with Raisen, heavy rains caused waterlogging in many places in Sanchi Nagar. People were frightened due to heavy rains and strong thunderstorms. During this time, three people died and two were seriously injured due to lightning at two places in the district.

Lightning fell at these places in the district
According to the information, Rohit Pal (24) was seriously injured when lightning struck him while he was working in the field of Deviram Pal in Gulgaon village of the district. He was rushed to the hospital. Dr. Piyush Gupta, who was present at the spot, referred him to Vidisha after first aid.

The second incident of lightning strike occurred in the field of a farmer named Lallu Patel near Gulgaon Gate of the district. During this, Subed Kaul (18) who was working in the field died due to lightning strike. He was also brought to the hospital, after medical examination the doctors declared him dead.
