Due to sudden heavy rain in Ujjain on Friday evening, a wall of Mahakal Temple Gate Number 4 collapsed, due to which some people got buried under the debris and got injured. Meanwhile, SP Pradeep Sharma has confirmed the death of two people. The injured were immediately evacuated by the rescue team and admitted to the district hospital, whose relief work is continuing rapidly. Heavy rains are still continuing in Ujjain.
Heavy rains continue in Ujjain. But this rain became a disaster in the Mahakal temple area. Due to heavy rain, near the house of Jyotishacharya Pandit Anand Shankar Vyas at gate number four of Mahakal temple, the wall suddenly collapsed, due to which the people who set up shop here and sold goods got buried under the debris of the wall.
As soon as the Mahakal temple administration got information about these people being buried, they immediately pulled out the injured from the debris with the help of Mahakal police station and temple staff and took them to the hospital for treatment. It is not yet known how many people are buried under the debris and how many have been pulled out by the rescue team. But the rescue team is continuously engaged in rescue work.

An eyewitness to the incident said that it was raining very heavily. We were standing at gate number four with umbrellas. Then suddenly the wall collapsed, due to which two women and a child were buried under the wall. The woman was not aware of how many devotees were injured due to the wall collapse.
