Congress’s second list for Madhya Pradesh assembly elections may come on Thursday. Congress’s Central Election Committee meeting was held in Delhi on Wednesday. Congress sources said that names have been finalized on all the remaining 86 seats, but names of 50 candidates may be announced in the second list. Candidates for the other 36 seats will be announced after a few days.
In this election committee meeting which lasted for about five hours, Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Kamal Nath, state in-charge Randeep Surjewala and many others were present. Big leaders were present, among whom there was a brainstorming session regarding the names of the candidates.
In this meeting, one to one marking has been done on the remaining 86 seats. While selecting candidates for each seat, Congress’s survey, Kamal Nath’s personal survey and reports of surveys conducted by the Central Election Committee have been kept in mind and the names of the winning candidates have been finalised.
