MP Assembly Session: The assembly session in Madhya Pradesh was adjourned indefinitely today. Now Congress MLA and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh’s son Jaivardhan Singh has fiercely attacked the BJP. He said that the BJP did not discuss issues of public interest in the House.
Congress MLA Jaivardhan Singh said, “When the assembly session was announced, it was said that there would be discussion till July 19. Today’s agenda included discussion on every department, but the ruling BJP did not hold the discussion and just passed the bulletin.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar said on Friday that the progress of the Central Government’s Jal Jeevan Mission should be reviewed from time to time at the state level. He made this remark after some MLAs expressed concern in the House over the work going on under this scheme.
The main opposition party Congress walked out of the House after highlighting the shortcomings in the launch of Jal Jeevan Mission. This ambitious scheme of the central government aims to provide safe and adequate drinking water to all households through pipelines.
Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar said that this issue should be investigated as it concerns not just one party but the entire House. After Tomar deleted some of Singhar’s comments on this issue from the proceedings of the House, Congress MLAs walked out of the Assembly.
After the Congress MLAs returned to the House, party MLA Ajay Singh said that the works going on under the Jal Jeevan Mission reek of corruption and are also getting delayed.
Legislative Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said in his reply that District Magistrates will be instructed to hold review meetings with public representatives from time to time so that the shortcomings of this scheme can be removed and the work going on under it can be completed on time. He also said that senior officials will be sent on the spot to investigate the complaints related to the scheme.
