The body of an American national, who was missing for three days, was recovered from a ravine between Key and Tashigang in Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul-Spiti district on Sunday. Lahaul-Spiti Superintendent of Police (SP) Mayank Chaudhary said that the police suspected that the parachute belonged to Trevor, who was a base jumper. Following this, teams of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), trained in such rescue operations and adverse conditions, were deployed and Trevor’s body was found. Police said that prima facie it appears to be an accident.
