New Delhi. Bangladesh on Saturday announced its 15-member squad for the 3-match T20 series against India to be played from October 6. Match-winning all-rounder Mehdi Hasan Miraj has returned to the T20 team after 14 months. Mehdi is currently playing against India in the test series. Mehdi Hasan Miraj is an important part of Bangladesh’s ODI and Test team. He played his last T20 International match in July 2023. After this he missed 24 T20 matches.

Bangladesh Cricket Board said, ‘All-rounder Mehdi Hasan Miraj is returning to the T20 team after 14 months. He has scored 248 runs in 20 T20 International matches. During this period his strike rate has been 118.66. Mehdi’s highest personal score was 46 runs. Also, he has taken 13 wickets in his name with his spin bowling.

These players got a chance
Bangladesh has included left hand opener Parvez Hussain Emon and left arm orthodox Rakibul Hasan in its T20 team. Both these players will present a challenge to Team India, which recently won the T20 World Cup trophy. Experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had already announced his retirement from T20 format. Apart from Shakib, Soumya Sarkar is also out of the T20 team. Both were part of the team in the T20 World Cup.
