Meerut Hot Weather: The youth of Meerut have taken a unique initiative amidst the scorching heat. These youths came forward to help the policemen and home guards who were performing their duty amidst the scorching heat. They distributed towels, water bottles and shikanji to the personnel working in the scorching sun. Along with this, they also thanked the police personnel that they are controlling the traffic by standing at the Chaupal and crossroads even in this scorching heat.
In Meerut, the youth started the initiative of distributing shikanji and gamchhas two days ago. Right now they are being distributed in urban areas, after this, preparations have been made to distribute gamchhas and shikanji in rural areas. Groups of youth come out on the streets in the afternoon and distribute a gamchha and a packet of shikanji to all the policemen or traffic personnel they meet at crossroads.
Distributed towels and shikanji in the scorching heat
At the squares and intersections of Meerut, the group of youngsters first greet the traffic police personnel doing duty in the scorching heat with folded hands and then distribute towels and shikanji to them. The traffic policemen and home guards are also encouraged that you are doing duty even in the fire pouring from the sky and managing the traffic system.
The youth who went out to distribute towels and shikanji to traffic policemen, home guards or other policemen collected money from their own pockets. They bought towels and shikanji packets together and set out to distribute them. Most of the areas of the city have been covered so far. The policemen are also happy with this unique initiative that at least someone has taken a step forward for us too.
Unique initiative by the youth
This unique initiative for the police personnel has been taken by a youth named Ankit Chaudhary who was the student union president of DN Degree College and is now associated with BJP. He told that when he talked to his friends Saurabh, Akash, Raj, Abhishek, Shubham, Tarun, Aman, Rinku, everyone agreed, everyone collected money from their pockets and then set out to encourage the policemen. Ankit says that there is a heat wave and people are sitting in AC and coolers, in such a situation, traffic policemen, policemen, home guards are managing the situation at the intersections. We felt that something should be thought for them and we took the initiative.
