BSP supremo Mayawati posted on Instagram and wrote, “The brutal murder of BSP Tamil Nadu State Unit President K. Armstrong outside his Chennai residence this evening is extremely sad and highly condemnable. Armstrong, a lawyer by profession, was known as a strong voice of Dalits in the state. The government should take strict action against the culprits immediately.”

BSP’s National Coordinator Akash Anand wrote on Twitter – “The brutal murder of Tamil Nadu BSP State President and my close friend, K. Armstrong ji is shocking. He was a loud and strong voice of the Dalit community in Tamil Nadu. He was like an elder brother to me. I strongly condemn this cowardly and dastardly act. Our condolences and prayers are with his family in this hour of grief.”

Attacked near BSP leader’s house

Regarding this incident, the police said that the attackers on two-wheelers attacked former Chennai Municipal Corporation councilor Armstrong near his house in Perambur and fled. The BSP leader was seriously injured in this attack, they said that Armstrong died while being taken to the hospital. At the same time, the police have started a search to trace and arrest the suspects.
