New Delhi. A Delhi court has ordered to frame charges of criminal conspiracy and fraud against four people after 24 years. This case is related to the Hansie Cronje match fixing case played between India and South Africa in the year 2000. This order has been given against Rajesh Kalra, Krishna Kumar of T Series, Sunil Dara and Sanjeev Chawla. Chief Judicial Magistrate Neha Priya has given this information. A case has been registered against these 4 people in Chanakyapuri police station of Delhi.
Referring to the evidence, the court said that the record of conversation between all and the surrounding circumstances make it clear that Krishna Kumar, Kalra, Sunil Dara, Sanjeev Chawla were involved in this conspiracy. They were working together. They were partners in cricket match fixing for financial gain. The court said that there is sufficient evidence to frame charges against these four under section 420 along with 120B. Let us tell you that the court has issued an order of 68 pages for this.
The court further said that if it is known in advance who is going to win a cricket match, then there will be no interest in watching the match. The lawyer of the accused argued on this and said that match fixing is not an accusation in the country. Let us tell you that this fixing was on the team structure, it included things related to individual score, amount, pooling of money, betting.
