The demand for Maratha reservation is once again in discussion in Maharashtra. Maratha movement chief Manoj Jarange has given an ultimatum to the government on Tuesday. Jarange says that his demands should be implemented from Wednesday otherwise the fast unto death will be started from February 10. Speaking to reporters, he said a special session of the state legislature should be called to convert the notification into a law to allow Marathas with Kunbi certificates to get quota benefits in government jobs and education.
UBT accused of fraudulently filing IT returns
Shiv Sena (Shinde faction), which is part of Maharashtra’s ruling coalition, on Tuesday complained to Mumbai Police about fraud. He has demanded action against the Uddhav group for filing fraudulent income tax returns. In a complaint letter written to the Mumbai Police Commissioner, Cyber Police Station, Shinde faction treasurer Balaji Kinikar said that even after the party symbol was allotted to the Shinde faction by the Election Commission, the Uddhav faction purchased a fake PAN card and they themselves Claiming to be a member of our party, he filed TDS return from July to September 2023. He used fake password-login ID for filing returns, which is an act of evasion, forgery and fraud. However, the police have not registered any FIR yet.
