Mandsaur SP Anurag Sujania said that for a long time information was being received that government rice distributed under the public distribution system was being sold in the market through black marketing. Based on this information, the police laid a trap to catch the accused.



Government rice seized
During checking, the Naya Abadi police station of Mandsaur stopped a pickup vehicle number MP14GB0963 and when it was searched, sacks of fenugreek and flaxseed were found on top of the pickup vehicle. After this, when the goods inside were taken out, the police were also shocked. The police have seized about 6 quintals of government rice from this vehicle. This was to be distributed to the common people under the PDS system. In this case, the police have seized the vehicle and registered an FIR under the Essential Commodities Act.

The driver kept misleading the police by making excuses
According to the information received from the police, when the vehicle was stopped during checking and PDS rice was seized, the driver Madan, son of Badrilal Sen, resident of Govardhanpura Tehsil Suwasra, kept misleading the officers for a long time. He said that he had bought this rice from the market. When he was questioned about the bill and the shop, he started avoiding the issue. After this, a case was registered against him under the Essential Commodities Act.
