In Maldives’ capital Male, police have arrested two people along with the environment minister on charges of doing black magic on President Mohammed Muizzu. According to information, environment minister Fathimath wanted to control President Muizzu by doing black magic on him. At present, all the accused have been kept in custody for a week till the investigation in the case is completed.

According to local media, there are reports that Minister Shamnaz has been arrested on charges of practicing black magic on President Dr. Mohammad Muizzu, although the police have neither confirmed nor denied this report. However, a lot of material related to black magic has also been found from his house.

Environment Minister Fathimath Shamnaz Ali Salim is the wife of Adam Ramiz, a minister working in the President’s Office. She has previously been a member of the capital Male’s city council with President Muizzu. At that time, Mohammad Muizzu was the mayor of the capital Male. Last year, after Muizzu became the President, Fathimath also resigned from the council. After this, she became the Minister of State of Muliaj, the official residence of the President.
