Delhi Mayor Mahesh Khinchi Profile: Aam Aadmi Party has once again won the Delhi Municipal Corporation. AAP’s candidate Mahesh Khedi has now become the Mayor of Delhi. He has defeated BJP candidate Kishan Lal by three votes. Let us know who Mahesh Khedi is.
Mahesh Khedi is a councilor from Dev Nagar ward number 84 of Karol Bagh, Delhi. 46 year old Mahesh Khegi, who belongs to Dalit community, has graduated from Delhi University. He did B.Com from Motilal Nehru in Delhi.
‘Thank you to all the councilors’
After the victory in the Delhi Mayor elections, Mahesh Khedi said, “I wholeheartedly thank all those councilors who made me win. Along with this, I would like to wholeheartedly thank former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Our I also heartily thank the top leadership.”
‘Development of Delhi is our objective’
Khedi said that only Aam Aadm Party can do the work of elevating a small worker to such a big position. He said that the election process was very smooth and assured that all the councilors will work hard for the development of Delhi. He said that our only objective is to develop Delhi and we will do that at any cost.
Let us tell you that a total of 265 votes were cast for the post of Delhi Mayor, but out of these, two votes were declared invalid. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Mahesh Khegi got 133 votes, while BJP’s Kishan Lal got 130 votes. After Shaili Oberoi, he will now discharge the responsibility of the post of Mayor. Shaili Oberoi’s tenure was extended.
