Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad Election Result: Lok Sabha Elections Results for four seats of the Maharashtra Legislative Council elections were declared on Monday (1 June). Uddhav Thackeray faction’s Shiv Sena UBT dominated the elections for Mumbai Graduate and Mumbai Teachers constituencies. Shiv Sena (UBT) candidates won both the seats in Mumbai.
Shiv Sena’s (UBT) Anil Parab won from Mumbai Graduate seat, while J.M. Abhyankar was successful in winning the election from Mumbai Teachers seat. BJP’s Niranjan Davkhare won from Konkan Graduate seat. However, the result for Nasir Teachers seat is yet to come.
Anil Parab defeated Kiran Shelar of BJP
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab on Monday won the Maharashtra Legislative Council election from the Mumbai Graduates constituency by defeating Kiran Shelar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Parab got 44,784 votes, while Shelar got 18,772 votes. A total of 67,644 voters exercised their franchise in the polling held on June 26.
Out of the total votes cast, 64,222 votes were found valid and the winning quota was 32,112 votes. Anil Parab got 44,784 votes in the first preference voting and was declared elected. Voting for four seats of the Legislative Council was held on June 26. Voting was held for Mumbai Graduates, Konkan Graduates, Mumbai Teachers and Nashik Teachers and the results were announced on June 1.
There will only be Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena in Mumbai- Anil Parab
After winning from Mumbai Graduates constituency, Anil Parab has expressed his happiness and reacted. He said, “I offer this victory at the feet of Balasaheb Thackeray. May Balasaheb’s blessings remain like this. I am grateful to Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray for showing faith in me. Thanks to Shiv Sena and the constituent parties of Mahavikas Aghadi who fought for my victory. It has been proved that there will only be Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena in Mumbai.”
