Maharashtra Shiv Sena leader Kiran Pawaskar said opposition alliance MVA only interested in power

Maharashtra Politics: Shiv Sena leader Kiran Pawaskar on Saturday (June 15) lashed out at the opposition alliance. He said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) allies are only interested in power. Each of them has two to three contenders for the post of Chief Minister. Hitting back at the press conference organised by MVA leaders, Pawaskar attributed their success in the Lok Sabha elections to the ‘M’ factor, referring to Muslim votes.

He said that MVA allies Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and NCP (SP) are now competing to take credit for this. Pawaskar said that “every party has two-three contenders for the top post. This shows that the MVA parties are not concerned with the concerns of the people but are attached to power.” He also took a dig at the MVA over the absence of Congress’ Maharashtra unit chief Nana Patole in the press conference.

Know the election figures
In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the MVA won 30 out of 48 seats in Maharashtra. In contrast, the Mahayuti alliance got 17 seats. BJP’s seats were 23 in 2019, which decreased to nine. Eknath Shinde The Shiv Sena led by Ajit Pawar won seven seats, while Ajit Pawar’s NCP got only one seat. Pawaskar claimed that the Congress and NCP together won 22 seats, they will betray the Shiv Sena (UBT), which got nine seats.

He said that it is clear that Shiv Sena (UBT) candidates won with the help of Muslim votes, while Marathi people ignored the party. He said that Shiv Sena (UBT) should accept this fact. Encouraged by the victory of MVA in the general elections in Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray said on Saturday that this is only a beginning and the opposition alliance will continue its winning streak in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.

BJP took a dig at
While in Nagpur, BJP’s Maharashtra unit chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that Lok Sabha Elections The difference in votes between the MVA and the ruling alliance was just 0.3 percent. He expressed confidence that people will vote for the BJP and its allies in the assembly elections because they know that giving power to the MVA will stop the welfare projects being run by the Narendra Modi government in the state. Regarding the MVA press conference, he said that many leaders in the opposition camp are vying for the post of Chief Minister.

Taking a dig at the opposition, he said, “The difference in votes was just 0.3 percent, but some people are calling it a big success. People will vote for Mahayuti in the assembly elections because they know that the MVA government will stop the welfare schemes of the Modi government.” He refuted Thackeray’s claim that all sections of society voted for the MVA in the general elections. Bawankule said that 51 percent of the Shiv Sena (UBT) votes were from Muslims, which they got due to their anti-Hindu stance in the last two and a half years.
