Maharashtra Budget 2024 Devendra Fadnavis Claims Uddhav Thackeray does not Understand Budget | Uddhav Thackeray called the budget a ‘false story’, Devendra Fadnavis said

Devendra Fadnavis on Uddhav Thackeray: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday (June 28) hit back at Shiv Sena (Uttar Pradesh) leader Uddhav Thackeray’s criticism of the budget. He responded by saying that Uddhav Thackeray himself had admitted that he does not understand the budget. Devendra Fadnavis said that the 2024-25 budget presented in the Assembly by Finance Minister Ajit Pawar has brought happiness to all sections of the society with many welfare schemes.

Uddhav Thackeray had termed Maharashtra’s budget as a ‘flurry of assurances’ and a ‘false story’ and said that it pretends to give something or the other to every section of society. Devendra Fadnavis, while responding to this comment of Uddhav Thackeray, said that “Uddhav Thackeray had said earlier also and that too on the stage that he does not understand the budget. When he has said something like this, then there is no need to react to his comment.”

What is there for women and youth in the budget?
In fact, the ‘Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Behan’ scheme for women was announced in the Budget 2024-25 presented by the Maharashtra government on Friday. In this, women in the age group of 21 to 60 years will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500. Families will get three free LPG cylinders in a year, electricity bill waiver for farmers is included.

In this budget, it was said that a monthly allowance of Rs 10,000 will be given to the youth for skill training. This budget has been presented four months before the assembly elections in the state. Maharashtra Deputy CM and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar presented a budget with a revenue deficit of Rs 20,051 crore for the current financial year.
