CBI Investigation Rules in Madhya Pradesh: In Madhya Pradesh, the CBI will now have to take permission from the government for investigation. The Home Department has issued a notification for this, in which it is clearly written that now the CBI will have to take written permission from the government for investigation. This system will be considered effective from July 1, 2024, while the government had issued this notification on Tuesday, July 16.
Home department officials have informed that this system was already in place, but now the Indian Judicial Code has come into force, due to which it was necessary to issue a notification. Otherwise, the cases pending in the court could have been corrupted. The Madhya Pradesh government has said in the order issued that if any person, government official or institution in the state has to be investigated, then the CBI will have to take written approval from the Madhya Pradesh administration.
