Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ has created a stir even before going on the floor. This ambitious film starring stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal has an OTT deal with Netflix. If reports are to be believed, the OTT platform has paid a huge amount for this deal. After completing its run in theaters, the film will premiere on the streaming platform. Not only this, SLB is also selling the music and satellite rights of ‘Love and War’ at a huge price, which will help in recovering the budget of the film even before its release.

According to sources Pinkvilla, the director has secured a significant post-theatrical deal with Netflix and a notable music deal with Saregama. Netflix has agreed on a big base deal for Love and War, with the amount likely to increase depending on the film’s box office success. The music deal with Saregama is also impressive. Apart from this, talks are on for a satellite deal which could fetch a good amount.

Non-theatrical revenue to reach Rs 215 crore!

Overall, the film’s non-theatrical revenue is expected to reach around Rs 215 crore. Interestingly, the report further reveals that despite being offered a massive deal of Rs 350 crore from several studios, Bhansali has opted for a no-studio approach. Instead, he has secured backend deals with the film’s lead stars.

‘Love and War’ cost, starcast, release

‘Love and War’ is expected to cost around Rs 200 crore to produce, excluding the actors’ fees. The film will feature grand battle sequences and feature Bhansali’s trademark opulence. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal will benefit from this arrangement, with Kapoor getting a significant share of the theatrical revenue. Bhansali is also considering selling global distribution rights, with a clause ensuring that a portion of the profits remains with him. Bhansali’s much-anticipated film will hit the silver screens on March 20, 2026.
