UP Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voting is to be held on June 1 in the seventh phase in Varanasi Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh. Before the voting, BJP leaders are continuously visiting Varanasi. In this sequence, BJP candidate from Meerut seat Arun Govil reached Varanasi on Monday. Arun Govil, while facing the media here, has put forth his point of view on his Twitter post.
After voting in Meerut, a post was made from Arun Govil’s Twitter handle in which he wrote that ‘When someone’s double character is exposed, we get more angry at ourselves that we trusted such a person with our eyes closed.’ After this post went viral, there was a political uproar. On which BJP leader Arun Govil has now given his side.
Reacted to Twitter post
He said that that post was a regular post and we have been posting a tweet every day for the last three years, which was Thought of the Day but it was misinterpreted. Apart from that, it had no political meaning. Arun Govil said that the mandate will be very good in favor of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Taking a dig at the opposition in a poetic style, he said that people will say something, it is the job of people to say, the opposition is doing the same thing.
