PM Modi’s re-election will give India stability for the next five years: Indian-American author
An influential American author of Indian origin said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on development during his 10 years of rule and his election for the third time will give India stability for the next five years as well as an opportunity to deal with some of the major challenges facing the country. Princeton-based Indian-American author Rajiv Malhotra said in an interview with ‘PTI’ that India can face all these challenges (challenges coming from outside the country) strongly. India can face all these challenges because of the Modi government. Despite all the claims, arguments and criticisms of the people, the reality is that they have developed and more development is needed but they have developed. Malhotra has written several books in the last few decades in opposition to Western academic studies regarding Indian culture and society. ‘Snake in the Ganges: Breaking India 2.0’ is his latest book.

PA Modi will meditate here in Kanyakumari
Prime Minister Modi will visit Kanyakumari after the end of the Lok Sabha election campaign on May 30. Here he will meditate at the Smarak Rock Memorial. From the evening of May 30 to the evening of June 1, Prime Minister Modi will meditate at Dhyan Mandapam. Many security agencies along with 2000 policemen have been deployed for his security. The special thing is that this is the same place where Swami Vivekananda meditated for three days after touring the country. It was here that he dreamt of a developed India.
During his Bharat Darshan, Vivekananda came to know the suffering, pain, poverty, lack of self-respect and education of the common people. Vivekananda reached the rock located about 500 meters from the beach by swimming on 24 December 1892. He meditated on this rock from 25 to 27 December. Here he dreamt of a developed India for the future of India. This is the same place where he had the darshan of Bharat Mata. It was at this place that he dreamt of dedicating the rest of his life to the people. There has been a long struggle to build Vivekananda Smarak on Vivekananda Shila. Eknath Ranade played a big role in this.

Six phases of the Lok Sabha elections have been completed. The campaigning for the last and seventh phase will be stopped this evening. Before this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a rally in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The rally will start at 11 am. After this, PM Modi will leave for Kanyakumari this evening. He will meditate here till the evening of June 1. At the same time, BJP national president JP Nadda will hold three rallies in Punjab before the campaigning is stopped.
