LG Vinai Saxena ordered officers to complete 416 Delhi Dehat projects by August Ann

Delhi Dehat News: The development work being done under the Delhi Gramoday Abhiyan for development in the rural areas of Delhi will be completed by August. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena reviewed the progress of 416 projects being done at a cost of Rs 364.38 crore under the first phase. During this, the Lieutenant Governor directed the officials to complete all these works by August.

To maintain the quality of development work in rural Delhi, he asked DDA, MCD, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, PWD and other agencies to keep an eye on these projects.

416 projects will be completed at a cost of Rs. 418 crore

Delhi Government Service and DDA officials told the Lieutenant Governor that 416 projects are being completed at a cost of Rs 418.11 crore. Out of this, Rs 237.70 crore has already been released. While the remaining Rs 144.41 will be released within a week. In the meeting, the Lieutenant Governor directed the District Officer to review the progress of the project, check the progress report of the works, list the ongoing projects on the web portal, provide real photographs and videos along with the progress report.

He said, ‘The contractors will have to give a five-year warranty for the work done by them. The EMD of the contractors will not be returned in one go, but will be released at the rate of 20 percent per year based on the quality of the work performed by them.’

The officials visited the villages

On the instructions of Lieutenant Governor Vinay Saxena, officials of various departments including DDA, MCD, Water Board along with district officials visited various villages twice in January. After spending the night, the officials came to know the problems and suggestions of the villagers. According to which these projects are being completed. Most of these projects are being completed by DDA.

Work being done in rural areas

Most of the works are related to the construction and renovation of community centers, village chaupals, crematoriums, panchayat houses, sports infrastructure, road repairs, lighting in dark places, etc. At the same time, as per the demand of the villagers, 37 crematoriums are also being renovated in various villages.
