Lenovo K3 Note review: Low cost, high benefits

The consumer is the only one who benefits from the price war that breaks out between mobile manufacturing companies. Lenovo has launched a new device in the range of Rs 10,000 which comes with a full-HD 1080p screen. 5.5 inch screen lenovo k3 note The specifications of Lenovo K3 Note are such that they would have been part of a flagship device two years ago.

The company has changed the market game in terms of ‘value for money’, but not in the strategy of selling handsets. k3 notes Available in limited quantities and can be purchased only through flash sale. Due to online availability alone, buyers cannot fully test the new product. In such a situation, the brand image is the only support for the customer. Luckily, we got to spend a lot of time with the review unit. Based on this, we will tell you about this handset and will also introduce you to the test results.

Look and Design
Most of the phones in this range come with a uniform look. Lenovo has also expressed confidence in the same formula due to which this handset does not leave its own mark. By the way, Stanley texture has been used on the rear panel of this handset. If you want something different, buy a black or yellow version instead of white.

The three capacitive Android navigation buttons below the screen are not easy to use. These are difficult to access with a single hand, and the icons are gray with no backlighting.

The power and volume buttons are placed on the right side. 3.5mm audio socket and micro-USB port have been placed at the top. The left and bottom are completely empty, nothing here except a mic hole. The camera lens and dual LED flash are located in a corner of the rear part. Apart from this, mic hole, speaker grill and a big Lenovo logo are also present. The battery is removable and you have to take it out to swap the SIM card. MicroSD slot is also present to increase storage.

Gives a good experience while holding the phone. 150 grams is not very heavy but whenever you keep the phone in your pocket, you will definitely feel its weight.

We are talking about a powerhouse device under Rs 10,000. As a processor, the phone has MediaTek 6752 which has 8 ARM Cortex-A53 cores and all of them run at a speed of 1.7GHz. Mali-T760 MP2 is integrated for graphics. The device has 2GB of RAM and its inbuilt storage is 16GB and support for 32GB microSD card is also provided.

The device has a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. In this matter it is ahead of most of its rivals and Micromax Yu Yureka Plus Equal to. It is clear that Lenovo seems to be beating everyone in terms of specifications.

Lenovo has provided a 13 megapixel rear camera which can record 1080p video. The dual-LED flash is no less than a feature of a high-end phone. There is a 5 megapixel camera sensor in the front.

Lenovo K3 Note There is support for the 2300MHz band used in India and it is applicable on both SIMs. The device also has Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and A-GPS. The device supports USB-OTG storage and also features Dolby Atmos audio enhancements.

Lenovo K3 Note It runs on Android 5.0 operating system, on which the company’s VibeUI skin has been used. The good thing is that the style and functionality of Android was not tampered with much. The company has also added some new features and functions. The main difference is that icons of all installed apps remain present on the home page. There is no app drawer present which most people will not like. Most Chinese companies are showing confidence in this approach.

Lenovo has provided many preloaded apps with this handset. The good thing is that most preloaded apps can also be removed. Lenovo K3 note has a secure zone feature that lets you hide selected apps, files and notifications through a unique lock code. Ultimate Power Saver mode disables all functions except calling and messaging. The company claims that through this the standby increases by several days. This can prove to be very effective in times of emergency.

Through Smart Scene, you can decide when your phone automatically goes silent, goes into airplane mode, increases or decreases the brightness, chooses a different data connection, or launches an app. You can set the time or change the scene manually. You can set a scene on the device that activates when you approach a particular Wi-Fi access point. In this way your phone will be able to know when you are at home and when in office.

Some interesting settings are also present in the device. You can activate the phone by double tapping on the screen. You can launch apps directly through certain gestures.

We found the Lenovo K3 Note to be generally very easy and pleasant to use. However, due to the large size of the screen, it is not possible to use this device with just one thumb. Apart from this we did not face any other problem. There was no lag of any kind even during multitasking. Heavily encoded HD videos play smoothly without any lag.

The results of the benchmark test show that the K3 Note is a very powerful device. The device scored an impressive 45,616 points on AnTuTu and 20,680 points on the Quadrant test. We feared that the graphics results might not be as good due to the high-density screen. But we are glad that the device got a result of 15fps in GFXBench and 6,667 in 3DMark Ice Storm Extreme.

The screen of the phone is really great. We are very happy with this device in terms of viewing angles, color reproduction and sharpness. It works well outdoors. The sound coming from the rear speaker was quite loud. The effect of Dolby Atmos was clearly visible on the sound, although it was more effective in earphones.

The camera sometimes disappointed and sometimes pleased. The placement of the camera is in a corner of the rear part. Many times while taking photos, we found that our fingers came in front of the lens. For this reason we had to hold the phone on its edge. The effect of lighting was clearly visible on the photos taken with the camera. Photos taken during rainy days were not as good as those taken in full light. When we reviewed the photo in full size, the lack of detailing was clearly visible. Although the pictures looked great on the phone screen. Colors were generally good. Close-up shots came out better than distance photos.

Voice calls were a bit dull but there was no major drawback. 4G data speeds were a great experience. Battery life is good but not spectacular. It lasted 8 hours and 7 minutes on our video loop test.

our decision
Lenovo has really surprised us with the power and finish of its new devices. K3 Note is a great device in this price range. It is clear that the golden era of budget smartphones is not over yet. Considering the popularity of big screen, we think that most of the customers will like to buy this phone. We also hope that Lenovo will also launch a regular size version of this device in the near future.

In front of K3 Note Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G (Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G) looks a bit old and in terms of performance it lags on some occasions. u eureka plus (Better than Yu Yureka Plus). The truth is that it is very difficult to choose between Yureka Plus and K3 Note. However, the Yureka Plus handset runs on CyanogenOS and Now Rs 1,000 cheaper But we liked this Lenovo product equally. Both the devices are available in limited numbers and will be available only through online flash sale, so if you want, then choose one. Both are win-win deals.
