Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will meet the victims of Hathras accident today. He has left for Hathras. 121 people lost their lives in this accident which took place on 2 July.

According to Rahul Gandhi’s official program, he will reach Pilkhana in Aligarh by road from Delhi at around 7 o’clock. There he will meet the families of Manju wife of Chhote Lal, Pankaj son of Chhote Lal, Premvati and Shanti Devi wife of Vijay Singh who died in the accident. Then at 8:40 he will reach Green Park in Navipur Khurd, Vibhav Nagar in Hathras, where he will meet the families of Asha Devi, Munni Devi and Omvati. He will hold a press conference there.

Meanwhile, the police has taken major action in the Hathras stampede case. So far, six sevadars associated with the organizing committee have been arrested in this incident. At the same time, a reward of one lakh rupees has been announced for the arrest of the main organizer-chief sevadar of this incident.

The arrested people include Upendra, Manju Yadav, Mukesh Kumar. On the incident, Aligarh IG Shalabh Mathur said that at the zone level, SOG teams have been deployed in all the districts to identify and arrest the accused. Also, the evidence found from the spot is being made a part of the investigation.

The arrested people have said that many troubles are relieved by taking the dust of Baba’s feet. The arrested people said that they work as sevadars, are the president and members of the committee. If Baba’s name comes up in the investigation, action will be taken on that point. If needed, Baba will be questioned.

The IG said that the death toll is 121. All the bodies have been identified and the post-mortem process has been completed. IG Shalabh Mathur said that a case has been registered under sections 105, 110, 126 (2), 223 and 238 of the Indian Penal Code.

A reward of Rs 1 lakh has been announced on the main accused Madhukar. A non-bailable warrant will soon be issued against him. The IG said that we will also investigate whether this incident happened due to some conspiracy.
