Minister Vijay Shah on Tribal Battalion: A tribal battalion will be formed in Madhya Pradesh on the lines of the Sikh battalion. Cabinet minister Vijay Shah is going to give a proposal to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The proposal talks about connecting the extinct Sahariya, Baiga and Bharia tribes of Madhya Pradesh to the mainstream.

Minister Vijay Shah said that for the protection of the vanishing tribes, it is necessary to connect them with the mainstream of development. In particular, means of employment should be provided. Infrastructure should be developed in tribal areas.

Minister Vijay Shah was talking to the media in Khandwa. He said that there are 46 tribal castes. Three castes, namely Sahariya, Baiga and Bhariya, are on the verge of extinction.
