Mehboob Alam Viral Video: The video of altercation between MLA Mehboob Alam and Barsoi police near Masjid Chowk in ward number 7 of Raghunathpur in Nagar Panchayat of Katihar is going viral on social media. This video is said to be of late night on Wednesday (26 June).
There was a case of two parties regarding the land
According to the information, the villagers had called a panchayat between the two parties regarding the land near Raghunathpur Masjid Chowk late on Wednesday night, so that a solution could be found. As the matter escalated in the panchayat, a person called 112. Barsoi police reached the spot with force, where the panchayat was being held. Then they started interrogating people.
Meanwhile, local MLA Mehboob Alam received information from Barsoi police that he was being threatened by the police. On receiving this information, MLA Mehboob Alam reached Raghunathpur Masjid Chowk with his supporters, where MLA Mehboob Alam said that police has no role in the land matter. Here the role is of the zonal officer. While saying this, there was a heated argument between the MLA and Barsoi police sub-inspector Chandan Kumar.
What did Mehboob Alam say in the matter?
MLA Mehboob Alam said that Barsoi police is harassing the poor people, which will not be tolerated at any cost. The police is showing off their uniform. Sub Inspector Chandan Kumar said that a person dialed 112 and said that his life is in danger. He should be saved. That is why I have come and this is my duty. A notice has also been sent to the said person through Janta Darbar regarding the land.
