These four criminals who were caught by the police are residents of Jharkhand and were smuggling drugs for a long time. They entered the Kanpur border from Jharkhand by hiding opium in the car’s trunk, but there was no one to catch them, but the Lucknow Narcotics team got timely information about smuggling of a large amount of opium, after which the police laid a trap and arrested four smugglers with opium hidden in a luxury car.

Opium consignment and car recovered

Actually, the Lucknow Narcotics team had received information about the movement of these smugglers and also that they were carrying a large consignment of opium from Jharkhand to Kanpur, after which the Narcotics team informed the Kanpur police officers about this movement and in a joint operation with the Chakeri police, all these smugglers were caught with 10 kg of opium in the Chakeri police station area. A car and a consignment of opium have been recovered from a place.

DCP East Shravan Kumar said that in this case, information about the smugglers was received from Lucknow Narcotics Department and the information about these smugglers being in Chakeri area of ​​Kanpur, the Additional Police assisted the team and tracked the car of Jharkhand Namvar. All the four smugglers sitting in it were arrested with opium.

According to the officer, all these accused are residents of Jharkhand. Ramnath Munda, Karm Singh, Ryan Singh of village Hunt of Jharkhand have been arrested. Meraj Ahmed of Bareilly, who took the delivery along with them, has also been arrested. Now the arrested accused are being questioned about how many more people are there in their gang and where they smuggle opium. After this, they will be sent to jail.
