Kanpur Circle Rate: After a long time, preparations are being made to increase the government rate of the city’s land i.e. circle rate in Kanpur. There are preparations to increase the circle rate by about 20 percent. Some of the city’s land may come under the purview of 15 percent and some under 20 percent. After the year 2015, surveys are being conducted for the new circle rate, the report of which will be sent and finalized and soon the circle rates will be revealed with the new rates.

The district administration is working on the survey report regarding the new circle rate. From the Lekhpal to the SDM, the Kanungos and the main employees of the Tehsil level have been asked to give the report of their respective areas, after which the survey report will be given to the government and after this the rates of this new circle rate will be approved.

Keeping an eye on new developing areas

The newly developed areas will be the first to come under the purview of this new circle rate. Because now the buyers of land are moving towards the new areas as most of the land in the old areas has been sold or it has already been bought or sold at high prices due to being close to the city or in the middle, due to which the administration’s first focus is on the newly developed areas.

Now the eyes of the officials are on these areas

Till now these areas of the city were called the most expensive and posh, which include Aryanagar, Tilaknagar, Swaroop Nagar, 80 Feet Road, Lajpat Nagar, Civil Line, Kidwai Nagar, Nawabganj, Mall Road, here both the rates and land were always high, where there are preparations to increase the circle rate even more. Because the price of land in these areas was many times more than the circle rate. Apart from this, there are many newly developing areas, Yashodanagar, Ratanpur, Panki, Mainavati Marg, Jawaharpuram, Singhpur, Gangabarrage Road, where people are now starting to settle, the officials are keeping an eye on the circle rate here.

Now, with the new circle rate, the land buyer will have to pay more stamp duty i.e. price. This will benefit the revenue. At present, the circle rate which is going to increase after 9 years may shatter the dream of many people to buy land. Because in today’s time Buying land in is a big deal, but the price of land is now dependent on the circle rate, which will cost more money to pay.
