Hardeep Singh Nijjar was a Khalistani supporter and accused of involvement in terrorist activities in India. He was murdered in June 2023 in British Columbia, Canada. On the matter, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had accused Indian agencies of being involved in the murder of Nijjar. This statement increased the tension in India-Canada relations.

India had completely rejected the allegations of Nijjar’s murder made by Canada. India had said that Canada has failed to curb Khalistani activities in its country.

Now after this report, the Canadian government has clarified that they do not have any evidence that directly incriminates Indian officials in this case.
