Amidst the rapidly changing political equations in Jharkhand, former Chief Minister Hemant Soren was elected the leader of the India Alliance Legislative Party. Meanwhile, Governor CV Radhakrishnan has invited the leaders of the Indi Alliance to form the government at Raj Bhavan at 12:30 pm today. On his invitation, the leaders of Indi have reached the Raj Bhavan. These people will meet the Governor in a short while.
It is worth noting that Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren submitted his resignation to the Governor yesterday. At the same time, Hemant Soren staked claim to form the government. In the recent meeting, all the MLAs of the alliance present unanimously elected Hemant Soren as their leader. Earlier, amid the changed political circumstances, Chief Minister Champai Soren first offered his resignation in the meeting of the legislature party. After that, Champai Soren himself proposed the name of Hemant Soren as the leader of the legislature party and the next Chief Minister of the state, which was passed unanimously. Champai Soren will be the chairman of the coordination committee. However, no formal announcement has been made by the India Alliance regarding the change of leadership yet.
