The BJP has started preparations for the Jharkhand assembly elections. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are on a Jharkhand tour to prepare a strategy for the state assembly elections to be held later this year. A BJP official gave this information on Sunday. The BJP has appointed Shivraj Singh as the in-charge of Jharkhand elections and Himanta Biswa Sarma as co-in-charge.
Lok Sabha election performance will be reviewed
BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said that as state election in-charge and co-in-charge, both the leaders will hold meetings with party leaders, core committee officials, district presidents, district in-charges and workers in their first visit and will also review the Lok Sabha election performance. These meetings are being held on Sunday. Shahdeo said that a roadmap is being prepared for the upcoming assembly elections.
During their Ranchi visit, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Himanta Biswa Sarma planted saplings at ICAR, Namkum campus and litchi orchard in Hatia area of Ranchi under the party’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. During this, Shivraj Singh Chouhan while talking to the media said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is concerned about the environment. This initiative has been started to make the earth safe for the coming generations.”
