Jharkhand Champai Soren government will give 200 units of free electricity every month

Free Electricity in Jharkhand: Jharkhand’s Champai Soren cabinet on Friday (June 28) approved a proposal to increase the eligibility for free electricity for domestic consumers from 125 units per month to 200 units per month. Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said the government will bear an additional burden of about Rs 21.7 crore per month for this.

He said that due to this increase in eligibility, about 41.4 lakh consumers will be benefited. 40 proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting. Important among them is the special compensation scheme for the personnel of state police and central forces. Under this scheme, the family of a security personnel killed in an encounter will get Rs 60 lakh as compensation. Whereas in case of injury, the state government will bear the cost of treatment.

The cabinet also approved the establishment of Jharkhand State Faculty Development Academy for the implementation of the National Education Policy. The cabinet also approved the CM Fellowship Scheme for academic excellence. The cabinet also approved the Chief Minister Hospital Operation and Maintenance Scheme, under which state hospitals will be given funds for maintenance every year.

Women will get 1,000 rupees per month
In another decision, the Cabinet on Friday approved an ambitious financial assistance scheme to make 45 lakh women of the state empowered and self-reliant. An official said that under the ‘Mukhyamantri Behan Beti Swa-Sahayata Protsahan Yojana’, every woman will get Rs 1,000 per month.

The state government will bear Rs 5,500 crore annually for this initiative. Manoj Kumar, Secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, said that this scheme is for women between the ages of 21 and 50 years.
