Jharkhand Election: A total of 683 candidates are trying their luck on 43 seats in the first phase in Jharkhand. There are 73 women candidates in the first round. Out of 683 candidates, 34 percent are crorepatis. The richest candidate in the first round is independent Kandomani Bhumij, who has assets worth Rs 80 crore.

The first phase of elections is held in Jharkhand on Wednesday (13 November). In the first round, voting will be held on 43 seats in 15 districts. Out of 43, 17 seats are reserved for General, 20 for Scheduled Tribe and 6 seats for Scheduled Caste. A total of 683 candidates are trying their luck in the first phase. There are also 73 (11%) women candidates in the first round.
