Three to four suspects were seen in Surankot and Mendhar tehsils of Poonch district on Friday. Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a massive search operation. Police SOG, CRPF and Para Commandos are searching the forests of Sheendra Top, Sanei Top, Danna Shahstar and Bachhiyan Wali. Drones are also being used in search of the suspects.
According to the information, security forces received information in the morning that three to four suspects were roaming in the Danna Shahsatar area. After this, the security forces took immediate action and cordoned off Danna Shahsatar and its surrounding areas of Sheendra Top, Sannei Top and Bachhiyan Wali. Search operations were carried out till late evening, but no trace of the suspects could be found. It is worth noting that Danna Shahsatar is the same area where terrorists had ambushed Air Force vehicles 2 months ago. One Air Force soldier was martyred in the attack, while four soldiers were injured. This area has been a stronghold of terrorists during the period of terrorism.
Along with the security forces, VDG is also searching for the terrorists
Security forces searched the forests of Desa on Friday in search of terrorists. More than 1500 soldiers have been deployed. VDG is also engaged in search operation with them. At the same time, people of Lal Dharman’s village Chakra said that there is an atmosphere of fear due to terrorists hiding in the area. Two to three suspects have been seen in the village as well.
