Punjab Assembly Bypoll 2024: By-elections are to be held on July 10 on Jalandhar West (reserved) assembly seat of Punjab. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken charge of the election campaign. He held a meeting with AAP leaders and workers on Sunday. In the meeting, he said that the achievements of the government should be conveyed to the people. The Chief Minister claimed that the people of Jalandhar West are happy with the work of the Aam Aadmi Party government. Workers should run a public relations campaign and tell people about the achievements of the government.

Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Mohinder Bhagat from Jalandhar West. The Chief Minister described the AAP candidate as having an honest image. He said that Mohinder Bhagat has been serving the public in Jalandhar along with his family for many years. He inspired AAP workers to work at the grassroots level. The Chief Minister claimed that Aam Aadmi Party will win the assembly by-election by a big margin. He also targeted BJP candidate Sheetal Angural.

Sheetal Angural was elected MLA from Jalandhar West seat on AAP ticket. The Chief Minister said that AAP had won the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. He said that Sheetal Angural betrayed the public. He resigned from the MLA post and joined BJP. Now BJP has rewarded Sheetal Angural for his resignation by making him a candidate from Jalandhar West seat. 23 candidates have filed nomination papers for the by-election to be held on July 10. The last date for the nomination process was June 21. The nomination papers will be scrutinized tomorrow on June 24. Candidates can withdraw their papers till June 26.
