Jairam Thakur targets CM Sukhvinder Sukhu for Himachal assembly By election

Himachal Assembly Bypoll 2024: By-elections are to be held in three assembly constituencies of Himachal on July 10. Its results will be declared on July 13. Only a few days are left for the election campaign. In such a situation, the campaign is also seen going on in full swing. Congress candidate in Dehra assembly constituency is Kamlesh Thakur, wife of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Here she is pitted against Hoshiar Singh of BJP. The eyes of the entire state are on this seat. Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur himself is also making full efforts to win this seat. Meanwhile, during the campaign, Jairam Thakur strongly targeted Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that by-elections are being held in the state due to the dictatorship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. The Chief Minister repeatedly passes the buck to the Bharatiya Janata Party, but in reality the by-elections are being held due to the Chief Minister’s working style. He said that the working style of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has created such a situation in the state, due to which the MLAs of his own party were forced to revolt. Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said that the Congress government in Himachal is a government of friends. He also raised the issue of denotification of institutions by the state government with great gusto.

Government accused of harassing former independent MLAs

The former CM of Himachal said that the government harassed the former independent MLAs. The government misused its machinery and harassed the family members, colleagues, friends and relatives of the former independent MLAs on the basis of power. He said that the government also tried to delay the public related work of the former independent MLAs and also ignored the problems of the people. He said that due to this dictatorship of the Chief Minister, all the three independent MLAs had to resign.

Rajya Sabha elections were also mentioned in the campaign

Jairam Thakur said that for the Rajya Sabha elections, the Congress made its candidate a leader who Ram Mandir Due to this, the three independent MLAs did not support the Congress candidate and supported Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Harsh Mahajan in the Rajya Sabha elections. After this, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu started harassing them.

The BJP leader alleged that independent MLAs were harassed through fake cases. Apart from this, attempts were also made to harass their family members and relatives. In such a situation, the only option left for them was to resign. Jairam Thakur said that the public has to vote in the by-election against this dictatorship of the government.
