Rajendra Rathore on India Budget 2024: Former Leader of Opposition from Rajasthan Rajendra Rathore has described the Union Budget as historic and revolutionary. He said that the budget is going to take the Indian economy forward at a fast pace.
Rajendra Rathore said that the focus of the Modi government is on fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of every section including the poor, women, farmers, youth. The motto of the Union Budget is ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayans’. He said that many welfare, public welfare and progressive announcements have been made in the budget for every section.
According to Rajendra Rathore, India will be able to achieve the status of a developed economy by the year 2047. He said, “The first budget of Modi Government 3.0 includes priorities of agriculture, employment, social justice, manufacturing and services, urban development, energy security, infrastructure, innovation, research and development.
To strengthen the country’s infrastructure, a huge amount of Rs 11,11,111 crore has been provided for capital expenditure, which will be 3.4 percent of GDP. At the same time, a provision of long-term interest-free loan of Rs 1.5 lakh crore has been made to help the states in their infrastructure investment.
Reaction of former opposition leader on the budget
Rathore said that the central government will leave no stone unturned in strengthening the country’s infrastructure. He said, “Rs 2 lakh crore has been allocated in the PM package to launch five schemes with a focus on 4.1 crore youth in the next 5 years and to promote employment and skill development.
The government has announced to provide assistance of Rs 15,000 in three installments in EPFO on the first job. This will benefit 210 lakh youth. The government will pay 3 percent of the education loan for admission of students and e-vouchers will be introduced which will benefit 1 lakh students every year.
Big decision taken to increase loan
Rathore said that many announcements have been made in the budget of Modi Government 3.0 to give a new lease of life to MSME. He said, “Increasing the amount of PM Mudra loan from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh will benefit needy young entrepreneurs in starting an industry. Small entrepreneurs will benefit from the loan guarantee scheme of Rs 100 crore for MSME in the manufacturing sector. At the same time, the announcement of giving internship to 1 crore youth in 500 top companies will give the youth an opportunity to move forward. In this, internship allowance of Rs 5000 per month and a one-time assistance of Rs 6000 will be given.”
‘It will help in the upliftment of farmers’
Rathore said that bringing a scheme in collaboration with the private sector to promote e-commerce exports will also help the country’s economy. Creating “plug and play” industrial parks for investment in or around 100 cities will create an investment environment.
At the same time, in the direction of labor reform, the Union Budget 2024-25 has announced the renewal of the Labor Facilitation and Solution Portal to facilitate compliance for industry and trade. Rathore said that making a provision of Rs 1.52 lakh crore for agriculture and related sectors will help in the development and upliftment of food producers.
Rathore said, “Digital survey of Kharif crops using digital public infrastructure in 400 districts of the country, issuing public support based Kisan Credit Cards in 5 states, releasing 109 high-yielding and climate-friendly varieties of crops in 32 agriculture and horticulture for farmers, giving strong support to natural farming through certification and branding to one crore farmers and setting up 10 thousand need-based bio-input resource centers will boost the productivity in the agriculture sector and will benefit the farmer brothers and sisters.”
