New Delhi. Now players will also be given match fees in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Jai Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, made the announcement on Saturday. This means that the earnings of the players are going to increase further. Apart from IPL salary, players can earn Rs 1.05 crore extra. Till now in the history of IPL, the players used to get the same salary as the franchise bid for them in the auction, but now they will get a separate Rs 7.5 lakh for every match.

Jay Shah wrote on his official Twitter handle, ‘Players will get Rs 7.5 lakh for a match. If a player plays all the 14 matches of the league stage then it will increase to Rs 1.05 crore. Each franchise will allocate Rs 12.60 crore for the season. This IPL is the beginning of a new era for our players.

Jay Shah has made it clear that the match fees paid to the players will be from the franchise. In IPL, 14 matches are played at the league stage. That means if a player plays 14 matches, he will earn Rs 1.05 crore separately. The winning team of IPL gets Rs 20 crores. This match fee will be given to every player from senior to junior.
