It will not be easy for Team India to play in New York, the habit of playing day-night matches for 2 months will trouble them! Rohit admitted…

New York. The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma is fully prepared for the T20 World Cup. India has to play the opening matches of the T20 World Cup at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. Captain Rohit Sharma said that his team will have to adapt to the pitch and conditions before the match against Ireland on June 5. Rohit and his team have to play a practice match against Bangladesh on the same ground on Saturday. This is India’s only practice match before the T20 World Cup.

The practice matches are also important for the Indian team because these matches will start at 10.30 am local time. After playing day-night matches in the IPL, now the Indian players will have to get used to day matches. Rohit Sharma told the ICC, ‘We are trying to understand the situation because we have not played here before.’

Praising the ground, Rohit said, ‘It looks very beautiful. It is an open ground and I am eagerly looking forward to seeing the atmosphere here on the match day. I am sure that spectators will come here in large numbers to watch the matches of all the teams.’

Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto also praised the ground but he would not have forgotten the series defeat at the hands of America a few days ago. America defeated Bangladesh 2-1 in the three-match T20 series. Shanto said, ‘To be honest, I did not think that something like this would happen. We had seen this ground on social media and we are eager to play here.’ (Input Bhasha)
