Israel–Hamas War: Israel’s action against Hamas continues. Israeli tanks are advancing in north and south Gaza. According to locals, the Israeli army advanced in the Shejaiya area of northern Gaza on Sunday (30 June). The army has also penetrated deep into western and central Rafah in the south. They have targeted several houses, in which at least six Palestinians were killed and many houses were destroyed.
Locals said that four days ago several Israeli tanks entered Shejaiya and fired shells at the houses. Due to this attack many people got trapped in their houses. And many people also died.
Israeli army issued a statement
The Israeli army said that the army forces killed several Palestinian gunmen in Shejaiya the previous day. Weapons were recovered from them. Several military structures were also attacked. The Israeli army confirmed the death of two Israeli soldiers in northern Gaza on Saturday (June 29).
IDF continues to attack terrorist hideouts
Officials said rescue teams faced many obstacles due to clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups, especially in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza and Shuja’iya in eastern Gaza. Israeli military spokesman Avichai Adraee said in a press statement on Saturday that the Israeli army continues to attack terrorist hideouts in the Shuja’iya area. He said that in the past few hours the army killed several in clashes and Israeli soldiers found a weapons depot inside a school complex in the area.
More than 37 thousand people lost their lives in Gaza
At least 40 Palestinians were killed and 224 others injured in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours. Health officials in Gaza said on Saturday (June 29) that the total number of Palestinian deaths has now risen to 37,834. 86,858 people have been injured since the Palestinian-Israeli conflict began in October 2023.
